Hello and welcome,
My name is Amber (she/her). I recognize that sometimes, the hardest decision about seeking support is the decision to do so, which is why I emphasize the importance of starting where each person is at. I have over twelve years experience working with people from all walks of life at various points on their journey from children, youth, adults, and families. My approach shifts to the needs of each unique person I meet; nonetheless, it aligns most closely with Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Emotion Focused Therapy and somatic or body-based awareness. I look forward to connecting to explore if I am the right fit for your journey.
I hold a Masters Degree in Counselling Psychology and an Undergraduate Degree in Psychology, but at its core, I believe therapy is about healing through connection and focusing on the values that guide us through life.
My background has been working with women and families facing domestic violence, homelessness, parent education, and in complex mental health programs. I currently support men recovering from addictions.
I work with presenting problems related to depression, anxiety, self-esteem and self-worth, ADHD, parenting concerns, domestic violence, and the traumas that often underly most of these concerns.
Life is a journey, sometimes with obstacles that get in the way of where you want to go. This can leave you feeling stuck, overwhelmed, and disconnected from yourself and others. Having a little support to get over those hurdles can make a huge impact. Let’s work together to navigate these challenges and find a happier, healthier version of you.
